Protecting Your Hearing, One Appointment at a Time: Meet Audiologist Kristen McCabe
July 11, 2025
Hearing loss affects nearly 1 in 10 Americans - and it’s not just a concern for older adults. With rising exposure to loud environments and everyday noise, more and more young adults are experiencing hearing challenges earlier in life. That’s why prioritizing your hearing health with regular evaluations is more important than ever.

At HDS, we’re proud to offer expert audiology services led by the highly experienced and compassionate Kristen McCabe, M.S., CCC-A, who joined our team in March 2025.

Her passion for helping others and improving lives continues to guide her work today. Kristen resides in McCandless, where she remains actively involved in community engagement.

Why Hearing Health Matters
While age-related hearing loss is still the most common cause, loud noise exposure from concerts, headphones, work environments, and even household tools is leading to earlier onset hearing issues. That’s why audiologists like Kristen recommend annual hearing evaluations, especially for:
  • Adults over age 50
  • Individuals regularly exposed to high noise levels
  • Anyone experiencing symptoms like ringing in the ears, difficulty understanding speech, or sudden changes in hearing
  • Early detection and intervention are key to preserving hearing and improving quality of life.
Schedule Your Evaluation
Whether you’ve noticed changes in your hearing or simply want to take a proactive approach to your health, Kristen is here to help. Her expertise, empathy, and community-minded approach make her an outstanding resource for patients of all ages.
